Surrey has the mild, slightly peppery flavour, size, and speed of salad types with the interesting leaf shape of spicier wild varieties. A wonderful addition to mixed green salads with its complimentary flavour and leaf shape, as a topping to pizza and pasta, or on its own as a simple salad with a topping of parmesan cheese.
Noodle King’s tall vining plants produce slim tender green pods that are best picked at 30-45cm (12-18”). Also known as asparagus bean, Noodle King is faster to mature than other yard long varieties for better adaptability in regions with a shorter growing season. Delicious steamed and in stir-fries. Tall plants must be trellised.
