10x10 Pop-Up Canopies
A 10 x 10 ft pop-up canopy is the standard size for a market stall, a sports sideline, a campsite or a backyard party: it goes up in minutes, folds into its bag and covers a table with room around it. The canopies here are from Quik Shade; current prices are in the list below.
The choice that matters is the legs. A straight-leg canopy gives the full 100 sq ft of shade: the Shade Tech, the straight-leg Expedition, the Summit SX100 and the Marketplace. A slant-leg canopy stands on a 10 x 10 ft footprint but shades 64 sq ft under its top, and costs less: the Expedition EX64 and the slant-leg Expedition. The Summit and Marketplace carry a heavier 300D polyester top, and the Summit has built-in vents. Every top blocks 99% of UV. Other sizes are in pop-up canopies; for shade that stays up all summer, see gazebos.

10x10 pop-up canopy FAQ
Straight leg or slant leg?
Straight legs put the corners of the top directly over the feet, so a 10 x 10 gives 100 sq ft of shade and lines up in a vendor row. Slant legs splay out from a smaller top, so the same 10 x 10 footprint shades 64 sq ft. Choose straight legs for markets and events, slant legs for camping and the beach, where the lower price matters more than the last few feet of shade.
How do I keep it from blowing away?
Stake or weigh down every leg. The Expedition and Marketplace come with four steel ground stakes for grass and soil; on pavement or a deck, hang weights from each leg. Lower the canopy or take it down when the wind picks up: an open top catches wind like a sail.
Can I change the height?
Yes. The Shade Tech, Expedition, Summit and Marketplace have three height positions and the Weekender Elite four, so you can lower the top in wind or raise it for tall guests.
Can it stay up all season?
No. A pop-up is a portable shelter: take it down after the event and before a storm, dry the top before you pack it, and never leave it up under snow. For shade that stays up from May to October, look at a gazebo or a pergola.
