What does a winter support bar do?
A winter support bar is an adjustable metal post that stands inside the gazebo, under the roof beam, and helps carry the weight of heavy snow — reducing the stress on the roof panels and on the frame. Under a winter cover it also keeps the cover sloped at the centre, so snow slides off instead of pooling and freezing. It does not replace clearing heavy snow off the roof after a big storm.
