How do I choose the right outdoor structure size for my property?
Measure your available space, add 2-3 feet clearance on all sides, then check local setback bylaws. A 10'x10' footprint is the most popular for gazebos; 10'x20' for carports and sheds.
What is an Arrow Resin Series shed made of, and does it need painting?
Multi-wall resin panels, UV-protected and water-resistant: they do not rot or rust and never need painting or staining, and the door handles take a padlock.
Which Arrow Resin Series shed should I choose — the 4 x 2 vertical or a walk-in size?
The 4 x 2 vertical holds about 22 cu. ft. of long-handled tools in a tight spot; the 6 x 4, 6 x 8 and 8 x 10 walk-in sheds have swing doors, a window and a vented gable roof.
Does an Arrow Resin Series shed come with a floor?
Yes — the floor is in the box with the panels, frame, roof, hardware and instructions, so no separate floor frame kit is needed. It still wants level, well-drained ground.
What sizes and colours does the Arrow Select steel shed come in, and what is in the box?
Two footprints: 6 x 7 ft in charcoal, sage green, flute grey or blue grey, and 10 x 4 ft in sage green. The walls stand 71 in. The box holds wall panels, roof panels, door components, the internal frame and all hardware.
Does the Arrow Select shed include a floor, and what should it stand on?
No floor is included. Build it on a flat, level base you prepare — a concrete pad, patio blocks or compacted gravel. Arrow also sells steel base kits, but check the shed sizes each kit lists before ordering one.
How does the Arrow Select shed handle rain, damp and security?
Galvanized steel treated against corrosion and rust, with a Sherwin-Williams paint finish over it. The roof is pitched — a high gable on the 6 x 7 — so water and debris run off, built-in air vents keep air moving, and the door handles lock.
What does an Arrow steel base kit do, and which shed sizes does each kit fit?
It is the frame that goes under the shed: it squares the building, helps level the site and holds the shed and its contents off the ground. Four kits: 4 x 7 and 6 x 5 ft; 8 x 6, 10 x 6 and 4 x 10 ft; 8 x 8, 10 x 8 and 10 x 9 ft; 10 x 12, 10 x 13 and 10 x 14 ft.
Does the Arrow steel base kit include a floor?
No. The kit is the hot-dipped electro-galvanized steel frame, 2 in. high, with all hardware and instructions. You choose the floor: exterior-grade plywood cut to the frame size, patio blocks or gravel — or use the frame as a form for a concrete pad.
Do you build the base kit before or after the shed?
Before. Assemble and level the frame, lay the floor you have chosen, then build the shed on top — the frame is what keeps the walls square while you put them up. Two of the kits state their frame size: 120.06 x 67.81 in. and 120.06 x 142.31 in.
