How do I anchor an Arrow shed or carport to the ground?
Anchoring methods for Arrow steel buildings:
- Concrete pad (recommended): Use included wedge anchors or Tapcon concrete screws through the pre-drilled base rail holes. Drill 3/16" pilot holes into concrete, then drive anchors flush.
- Gravel/soil: Use 30"+ auger anchors at each base rail section. Space anchors every 4 feet for wind resistance.
- Asphalt: Use asphalt anchors (sold separately) rated for your structure size.
Proper anchoring is critical in Canada — winter wind gusts can exceed 100 km/h. For sheds larger than 10'x10', check local building codes for anchoring requirements. Many municipalities require permanent foundation for larger structures.
