12x12 Solariums

A 12 x 12 ft solarium is a square room of 144 square feet that stands on its own on a deck, patio or garden. Two models come in this size, both freestanding: the Sojag Korado, with a galvanized steel roof, an extruded aluminum frame finished in AkzoNobel Interpon powder coating and screened PVC windows that slide to three positions; and the Gazebo Penguin Florence, with a polycarbonate or a 0.75 mm galvanized steel roof, two sliding doors that open left or right and wind panels that slide to five positions. Both are three-season rooms, not insulated living space.

Choose the roof: galvanized steel gives full shade, polycarbonate lets the daylight in. Want more length? Every freestanding solarium runs up to 12 x 18 ft. Would rather attach the room to the house? See the wall-mounted solariums, from 10 x 12 to 10 x 16.

12x12 solarium FAQ

Sojag Korado or Gazebo Penguin Florence?

Both are 12 x 12 ft, freestanding and aluminum-framed. The Korado has a galvanized steel roof and screened PVC sliding windows with three positions. The Florence comes with either a polycarbonate or a galvanized steel roof, has two sliding doors that open left or right, and wind panels with five positions.

Is a 12 x 12 solarium big enough for a hot tub?

Sojag mentions enjoying a hot tub under the Korado. Measure the spa and allow room to walk around it and to open the cover, then check the solarium's interior dimensions on the product page before you order. Open the windows or wind panels for airflow.

Can it stay up in winter?

Gazebo Penguin says the Florence can be left up year round and asks that snow be cleared from the roof in winter; Sojag describes the Korado as protection from snow and rain. No snow-load rating is published with either listing, so follow the assembly manual. These are three-season rooms with no insulation — the solarium buying guide explains the difference.

Is there a wall-mounted 12 x 12?

No — the wall-mounted solariums we carry stop at 10 x 16 ft. For a room against the house, see the wall-mounted solariums; for a larger freestanding room, the freestanding models run to 12 x 18 ft.
