Wall-Mounted Solariums & Sunroom Kits
A wall-mounted solarium, or sunroom, attaches to the house along one side, so it opens straight off a patio door, shares the wall's shelter and needs one wall fewer of framing. IPATIO carries the wall-mounted three-season solariums Canadians install themselves: Sojag Korado-style wall solariums with aluminum frames and polycarbonate roofs, and Gazebo Penguin Add-a-Room kits, from compact patio-door models to sizes that cover a full deck. They are three-season rooms — mosquito netting and glass or PVC windows keep spring, summer and fall comfortable; they are not insulated for winter living.
Prefer a room that stands on its own? See all sunrooms and solarium kits, or the wall-mounted gazebos if you want an open roof without walls.

Wall-mounted sunroom FAQ
Is a wall-mounted solarium a four-season room?
No. These kits are three-season solariums: an aluminum or steel frame, a polycarbonate roof and screened or PVC-window walls. They keep bugs, rain and wind out from spring to fall, but they are not insulated or heated for winter.
What do I attach it to?
The open side bolts to the house wall with a ledger and flashing, usually around an existing patio door; the floor is your deck or patio. Most homeowners install a 10 x 10 or 10 x 12 kit in a weekend with two people.
Do I need a permit?
Attached structures are treated differently from freestanding ones in many municipalities — a wall-mounted solarium may need a permit and must respect setbacks. Check your local bylaw before ordering.
Which size fits a patio door?
A 10 x 10 ft kit covers a single patio door and a small seating area; 10 x 12 and 10 x 14 ft kits fit a dining table. Measure the wall run and the deck depth first, and leave room for the roof overhang.
